Hello Internet!

Is it still possible to start a blog in 2025, or has this medium already become obsolete?

Either way, I’m just going to give it a try. Better late than never! I’m Carolin Kralapp – surprise! This is also my personal website – and I’ve been working in the art world for over ten years. It was during my art history studies in Berlin that my passion for contemporary art was ignited, and it has only grown stronger since then! For many years, I have been publishing articles in various magazines about exhibitions and artists that inspire me or present significant challenges. As well as writing my own texts, I also write for others, such as institutions and artists. When I’m not writing, I work in communications for institutions and artists. This can involve many different tasks, such as writing newsletters, developing social media strategies, planning editorials, creating content, writing website texts, and handling other aspects of public relations. As you’ll see, text work runs through all my activities. This website will also tell you which stations I’ve already passed through and which projects I’m currently working on. On my blog, I want to explore topics that inspire me, independently of media or clients – with art as the starting point, of course. Berlin is at the centre of my life, a city full of art, which is why it will also feature heavily in my reporting. However, my job also takes me to various places around the world, and I will certainly report on these too. Perhaps I just need an outlet for my thoughts on everyday life in the art business and certain developments. This is supposed to be my digital playground, completely according to my own rules and tastes. If any of you would like to join in, feel free!

And now: Have fun reading!
