Reading at Städtische Galerie Wolfsburg: Images that remain – Photographic perspectives of women on identity and the body
In a personal reading, author and art historian Carolin Kralapp (born 1994 in Wolfsburg, lives and works in Berlin) presents three important photographers of our time: Nan Goldin, Rineke Dijkstra, and Luo Yang. Her text excerpts tell of intimacy and pain, of youthful transformation, cultural belonging, and ongoing identity search. Between precise observation and personal reflection, a multifaceted dialogue emerges about images, bodies, and identity – raising questions about how we (want to) show ourselves in the world and what role photography plays in times of digital image floods, social media, and artificial intelligence.
